A wedding absolutely is one of the most important things in a women' s life. Every detail should be well planned and prepared for that special occasion. Among all the things you need to do, the most important point is the bride' s wedding dress. A beautiful and elegant gown made of good fabric and premium materials certainly will make the bride become the focus at the wedding.
In the middle ages, wedding dresses had been very popular in some places especially in Europe. During the Victorian Era, wedding gowns were long, white and silk-made. But before that, bridal gowns were short and even had many different colors such as black and red. At the wedding of Queen Victoria' s and Albert of Saxe Coburg in 1840, almost all the things, from the decorations, to the wedding invitations, wedding cake, wedding favours and the wedding flowers were white. After that more and more women started to wear white wedding dresses in memory of the great Queen.
Today, most wedding gowns are still white to symbolize purity or virginity. However, it was not the real reason why Queen Victoria chose white as her gown. In fact, she opted to have a white wedding dress in order to match with her lace that she wanted to add on it. Perhaps it is just a coincidence, but anyway it has been a tradition that ten of thousands women accept to wear the white gown for years now.
However, no matter how the wedding dresses develop over time, something like the elegance and natural beauty of a perfect gown will never change. It is undoubted that the most beautiful image of a women in her life is when she is wearing a long and white wedding gown.
