Marriage Laws, Licenses and Certificates for Bali:
Bali is part of the Republic of Indonesia and is subject to Indonesian law. Every couple considering getting married in Bali must comply with the law.

In accordance with Law No. 1 of 1974 concerning marriage in Indonesia (Article 2 (1): "marriage is legitimate if it has been carried out in accordance with the law of religious beliefs of each party concerned."

All couples who marry in Indonesia must declare a religion. Agnosticism and Atheism are not recognized. The Civil Registry Office can record marriages of Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Christians and Christian Protestant-Catholic religion. Marriage partners must have the same religion, if one partner must make a written statement regarding the change of religion.

Religious Marriage in Islam made by the Office of Religious Affairs (Office of Religious Affairs) in a ceremony at the mosque, home, restaurant, or other place chosen by the couple and the law immediately after the ceremony.

Christian, Hindu or Buddhist marriage is usually performed first in a church or temple ceremony. After the religious ceremony, every non-Islamic marriage must be recorded with the Civil Registry Office (Civil Registry Office). Without registration with the Civil Registry these marriages are not valid. Recording by Civil Registry officials can be performed directly on a religious ceremony at an additional cost.

Those non-Islamic faith are required to file with the Civil Registry Office in the District where they lived first 'Notice of Intention to marry' and 'Letter of No Jinx obtained from their consular representatives.

4. Attending your ceremony to ensure that delicate procedure and to act as coordinator.
